Short-Term Stay After Hospital Admission
Patients that have been admitted to a hospital for a minimum of three nights may have the option for a short-term stay in our center to receive 24-hour Nursing care and Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy up to seven-days each week. Patients may also request a short-term Respite in-patient stay for periods of a few days to several months.

In-Patient Residential Stay
Patients that require a permanent in-patient stay may be admitted from the Hospital, Assisted Living Facility or Home after receiving an admission order from their primary physician.

[review] => Not the greatest place to take your love ones. From the moment you enter you can smell urine which is not a good sign. Our mom was there for several months after her regular place got flooded during a storm. Only one staff member, "Elba" was always caring and on top of our mom's needs while all others were lazy and didn't care about her wellbeing. I tried my best to arrive at different times and days and to my surprise many times mom's diaper was soaked. The call button is a joke as no one on this facility attends to it (when it works). Clothes disappeared and we had to constantly go to the laundry room to find her stuff, even tough we did our mom's laundry.
Unfortunately, these places do not pay enough compared to the money they bring in and in return the quality of the staff they get is poor. The only good thing I have to say is that is right on from of a nice park that mom liked to go to.
For the owners, spend some of the money you take, pay better to get good staff and update the place!!!!

[review] => They staff is great! Helped mom the first time a few years ago recover from stage 4 bedsores from Osecola Regin. Hospital.
After another hospital stay, Mom is back again due to a heart condition. She is learning to walk etc. Major step forward! she is actually doing work outs!
Food is not the greatest but any place like this usually doesn't have great food. It is at least healthy which is better than most places.

[review] => Had to get my grandmother away from this place , over 100 residents in the building and at least 90% of the residents are suffering with bed sores, not being treated properly, anytime my grandmother wanted a shower I had to come and assist with her baths because the CNA that’s suppose to get her her shower never want to get her out of bed it’s horrible. State is always at the building due to the neglect of residents, I have never even been introduced to the DON or other admins.CNA’s and nurses are only there for the money and it shows . I will be sending over pictures that I was able to take while my grandmother was there- to the news and see it we can make people aware

[review] => I wish I could give this place a better rating but unfortunately, my experience with them wasn’t the greatest; the nurses are all pretty nice but the way things are handled needs improvement. My mum was there for about 2 weeks and not once did I ever speak to any of her therapists about her progress, the nurses couldn’t tell me much either and I only spoke to the director towards the tail end of her visit (he was probably the most helpful, all things considered); I wasn’t notified about her fall and trip to the hospital under their care and never received any results from the tests that were supposedly done. Also, quite a bit of her clothing went missing and every time I tried to get answers about their whereabouts from the laundry dept. no one was available or returned my numerous amounts of voicemails, even to this day and she was discharged at the beginning of January…

[review] => Three years ago, I was in this facility, and if I could give them no stars I would. When I arrived I had a very nice physical therapist who was very helpful and encouraging, but when he left, the guy who replaced him would try and get me up out of bed, but if I made even the slightest cry of pain, he would put me back in bed and say that I was refusing to do the work needed for my physical therapy.
And don’t get me started on some of the CNA’s. I had one CNA who would come in and turn off my call light when I needed to have my brief changed, and then I would have to sit around in a bed full of feces while she did her “rounds”. Even worse, I was supposed to be going to doctor’s appointments for a car accident I had been in earlier that year, and it was like pulling teeth to get them to get transport to those appointments. In fact, I ended up giving a friend power of attorney to get these guys to make sure that I was transported to every appointment.
Last, but most definitely NOT least, the facility had ordered a walker for me to use when I was discharged, but it still wasn’t there when I was discharged, so one of the women in physical therapy gave me one of the extra walkers from the physical therapy department to go home with. I am still being billed for rental of the walker that never showed up, and when I tried calling the company that was supposed to send that walker, the woman who answered treated me like some senile old hag who didn’t know what she was talking about.
Needless to say, while some of the staff was okay, I am still having to deal with mobility issues because I was pretty much bedridden the entire damn time I was there.
So yeah, I would most definitely not recommend this facility.

No towels, bed not made. Wanted me to share the other woman's walker. Patients walked into my room, up to my bed , no masks. All onlong the halls Patients were screeming senslously. After 1 hr my husband and I decided to check out and go directly home. It was like being in the twilight zone. All equipment is in terrible repair. It may take me a very long time to get over this trauma. If my husband had left me there I wouldn't have survived.

I think the administration here is taking money and not fixing up a dam thing in this place ! the front door is cracked and broke it needs to be replaced I'm sure y'all are collecting enough money in there you could buy a door especially if you're squeezing (cramming)three people per room! Yeah the staff is friendly and nice but they don't take care of the patients the ones that need super cared for are being neglected ! [review] => I have been at Parkview since the end of September. No other facility I’ve been to is comparable. I want to recognize several areas of the facility, First I want to say thank you to Carol ,Dylan, Mr.Wolff , Barbie , Ashanti , Nancy,Dan and Mrs.Glenda for just being an ear to hear (lol) when I need them . Next I want thank Nurse Bettie,Mara &Justin for helping me adjust to the facility and as well as life. Kathryn & Tara have done a great job with Activities especially Music and Bingo which are my Favorites . The CNA’s overall for being there and giving there best foot forward . I attended Therapy for 6 weeks and I did well thanks to Rich ,Carl, Alex and Deborah. Thank you Mrs.Debra And Dennis from Dietary for working hard on my diet . Last but least to doctor Marques ,Doctor Simpson and NP Lou have done an outstanding job with my medical conditions with preparing me togo to an Assistant Living Facility. Thank You Parkview Family .

[review] => Feel Parkview is a responsible facility. Have a family friend there receiving good care for years, and my father there for a brief period. Nurses Bettie, Alba, Irlande among others real, genuine people who are thoughtful about patients' health. Shaded Ward Park across the street is calming. I hope the seating areas on the large front balcony can return post-covid concerns as the view is cheerful.

No matter if you call at 4pm 5pm, 6 pm 7 pm or even 8 pm. - no one ever ever picks up. So you can’t get any updates on your loved ones. [review] => What impressed me most was the commitment of the therapists - the physical, occupational and speech therapists. I went to Parkview to get stronger, and even when I got discouraged, they encouraged me and continued to work with me. They taught me how to transfer from bed to wheelchair and back when I couldn't stand. I couldn't swallow when I arrived at Parkview and had been able to eat only ice chips for four months. When I left, I could eat normal meals. All in all, I would say the therapists are the backbone of the facility.

[review] => I have been here for 8+ weeks, nursing a broken ankle and regaining enough strength to return to life in a wheelchair. PT and OT were very good. I had good to great experiences with all staff. The dietitian worked hard to accommodate my special needs. If you need help with any overall issues, talk to Carol, the social worker on staff. She’ll help you out.
I will miss the staff, even though I’m delighted to be going home. They are kind and good people and very patient. Several of them got to be more like friends. I highly recommend them!

My mom was a patient here and every time I would visit her she would beg me to take her out of there. She had dietary restrictions which were not followed, medication that was not being dispensed, physical therapy that was not being performed and on multiple occasions I witnessed the nursing staff eating the patients snacks.Her elderly roommate would go hours with a soiled bed and the nurses would not respond to the call buttons. I had to go to the nursing station on multiple times to ask them to help her Roomate and they would always tell me they would get to it later. I cannot caution you enough to stay away from this place! My mom passed away on Christmas and ever since her passing I’ve been repeatedly harassed for payment of services that were never even given to her. It is now going on 6 months later and they are sending letters to my house with my wrong last name and demanding payment. I called to talk to Rosa and she was extremely rude and talked over me the whole time! I had asked to stop receiving calls and letters because it is upsetting and they keep telling me I will not receive any more and the calls/letters stop for a few days then continue. I wish I could give them a 0 star rating….

She has a heart for seniors and would work diligently to ensure that your loved ones are given the care they need. The only reason why I told my mom to put my dad here was be review where good and it was so close to the house. BIG mistake!!!!!!! the name is different however is still the same. Please don't take your love one here. Patient calling for help and all they do is laugh. My dad had a stroke he couldn't drink water without being thicken if he drink regular water he could aspirate however over and over he was given regular water, his pill had to be crush never done. My mom was there every day at 6 to 7 did everything for him the nurse and the assistant did nothing. I can go on m and it who has the time. Please please don't take your love one don't even take the person you hate to take place. This place should be close ! All insurance companies should do better research in which nursing facilities they approve.

[review] => Parkview Rehab Center in Winter Park, FL is more than a nursing home and rehabilitation center. It is "HOME" to my sister and the other residents there. They receive more than excellent care; they receive kindness, caring and compassion. The quality of care couldn't be better and the level of excellence can't be topped. My husband and I spent two weeks there visiting my sister and we were amazed that the entire staff is kind and helpful. From the reception desk and Maria who does an outstanding job with a smile on her face and the other receptionists who do the same; to the nursing staff that uses kind and caring words while they do their jobs; to the people who keep the facility spotless and odor free; to the laundry staff who do a great job; to the cooking staff who prepare delicious, nutritious meals that the residents look forward to so much; to the maintenance staff who keep everything in great working order; to the Physical Therapy Department that gently and skillfully teaches the residents how to stand and walk or do whatever they are capable of doing; to others that we're not even aware of--Parkview stands out from all the rest. [review] => My mother went to parkview and was able go walk in. 3 days later they took her by ambulance to ICU because of this facility. They did not follow her breathing treatments, medications, and dietary needs. The food was terrible. I would not recommend this facility at all. Be an advocate for your loved one and make sure what is happening in any facility. Follow their meds, their treatments, their diet.

[review] => I have worked in the health care industry for more than 10 years and feel that this is a wonderful facility. After visiting many other facilities I find that Parkview Rehab Center at Winter Park offers much more than just skilled nursing or long term care services. This facility is very clean and has no foul smelling odors. The staff are quite welcoming and sport smiles on their faces. Residents are taken care of in a compassionate and kind manner and treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Administration, management, and staff all believe in providing patient centered care and assisting the patient in their road to recovery and in making the resident's short or long term care as pleasant as possible. Nursing and Rehab team work very well together and most have worked together for many years. Dining and activities are very accomadating and have several options for any individual needs or wants. I would definitely recommend this facility

[review] => My mother entered this facility walking and left near death back to the hospital due to incompetent staff who could not care less about the patients in their care. The nursing staff consistently were non responsive to her needs. We had to provide family members during all hours of operation to ensure she received food and water. They gave her inappropriate levels of medication, inconsistent with orders and inconsistent with the hours of going over her medication list. She was so weak she could not speak. Meanwhile, the staff consistently cursed in the presence of my mother and family members there to care for her. I would not take anyone here. Everyone deserves dignity, respect and a reasonable level of care. I can honestly say she did not receive any of these while there.

[review] => This facility has a very close nit set of employees that know and work with one another very well. As a currently employee, my first work experience in this building can be traced back to when i was a student were i was immediately draw to the team atmosphere. That same premise continues today.

[review] => After a bad accident I was here for 3 weeks to rehabilitate; at the time I was 28 years old. The staff were very friendly, food was awesome on Thursday and terrible any other day. Physical therapy was adequate. Computer room never used by anyone and good place to kill time. Lots of great food options nearby for Uber eats. Alot of steps inside and not recommended for anyone known to wonder. Free coffee up front and allowed to sit in a rocking chair or sit in a shady courtyard with tons of azaelas was relaxing.

[review] => My mother was in the facility for 1 week & the service was horrible. She had a major neck surgery, which her surgeon suggested rehabilitation for 7-21 days depending upon how well she recovered. I was very disappointed when arrangements were made by the facility at Manor Care for my mother 1post op, which transportation never showed up!! No one at Manor care facility even cared!! Nor did they contact the transportation company that never showed, nor did they call a family member to see who could or would assist. Keep in mind they have a company transportation van that charges the resident $75. My mother made it fianlly to her 9:20 am appointment at 11:30 am. The surgeon had to clean the incision & bandage it up in the office, because it looked as if my mom incison was infected. She didn't think that my mother was getting the proper care or treatment she deserved, suggesting that my mother go home & she'll order Nursing, physical, Occupational therapy & home health aide, in the comfort of my mom home. When we returned to the facility at 3pm, they told us that my mom was being discharged. Honestly that was the best news that we could have received, since arriving there a Manor care facility. I'll never reccomend this facility to anyone.

[review] => We recently placed my father in law in ManorCare, after having a very bad experience at a newer facility in the area. Of course this bldg. is an older building, but more importantly I find the staff has been outstanding in their delivery of compassionate, kind, and competent care. The RN's, the CNA's and the rehab team have my deepest thanks for how they are caring for our loved one. And BTW, the facility is very clean, and the food has been very good as well. As difficult as this has been for our family, the staff is a huge bright spot in our experience. I thank them sincerely.

He got sick while there, staff is rude and not helpful, place is dirty, food is gross, nurses went through his stuff when he was sleeping, nobody calls you back. [review] => Dirty, dirty, dirty. Corrupt place with useless staff. The nurses have no idea what they are doing and they and the CNAs that clean up the patients have fake or long fingernails and hurt the patients. My dad is currently in the hospital (again) with a severe blood infection for the second time around from this contaminated place. My dad cried when he got to the hospital saying they were abusing him and treating him terrible and begged us not to send him back there. I had to call 911 because I could tell there was something wrong with my dad and was told by the Director of Nursing (Martha) that something wasn't right with my dad. But she never contacted the family to say they suspected anything that we should be concerned about or tried to help check him out to see if they could determine what was happening. For the second time dad was having chills and going into to sepsis and not one person at the facility could be bothered to see it. So I called the paramedics to take him to the hospital to get the proper care he needed and if I had waited or depended upon the staff at Manor Care to help he would have been much worse off or even died. The staff is useless.
This place is the worst!!!!! I wouldn't send or recommend this place to anyone.
Also side note, if anyone complains about this facility and they are told the call the "care number" the calls are routed to the corrupt office staff and director who clearly protect their own interest. I am not stopping short of reporting the crimes and wrong doings against my dad to all agencies I can contact. As I wrote this my father is once again fighting for his life.

[review] => Manor Care facility has giving me the opportunity to admit me as a Patient but with the time , they have become part of my family. I have been there about7 times so far and I will have to tell you that the staff is very caring , professionals, from the liaison at the hospital Ysabel to the Director of Nursing Martha , Claudette (nutritionist ), nursing staff, physical therapist (Rosi, Miriam, Dina) always work with me and the rest of the staff are awesome (shanna, Aimen, Ahymen , thank you for taking care of me. I really appreciate it.

[review] => I went to visit my Grandmother for Mother's Day and was greeted with tears. Firstly, they have her cornered off for a "contagious disease" that they have not even tested for. Secondly, the nurses didn't want to be bothered to help her out of bed or to answer any of my questions. They haven't been giving her necessary medication or following the proper physical therapy schedule. My grandmother was crying because she can't walk. They've been feeding her by feeding tube and she is perfectly capable of eating normally. She is skinny and malnourished. I am horrified and disgusted with this facility! There were poop stains on her bed. I asked them to help me out her in a wheelchair. The one nurse didn't want to do it. He told me that she lays in bed all day and when I asked if they ever move her, he shrugged as if it didn't matter. We had to beg them to let us take her outside. Then they wouldn't even help her back into bed. We were there from 4pm-8pm and never once did I see them bring a dinner tray! I inquired about it upon leaving and the nurse didn't seemed concerned at all with whether or not my grandmother had eaten. I will be reporting this facility to whoever will listen and will leave this review everywhere! Don't leave your loved ones with these shoddy people. They're unprofessional and they don't care about you or them.
