Short-Term Stay After Hospital Admission
Patients that have been admitted to a hospital for a minimum of three nights may have the option for a short-term stay in our center to receive 24-hour Nursing care and Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy up to seven-days each week. Patients may also request a short-term Respite in-patient stay for periods of a few days to several months.

In-Patient Residential Stay
Patients that require a permanent in-patient stay may be admitted from the Hospital, Assisted Living Facility or Home after receiving an admission order from their primary physician.

Specialty Programs

[review] => Only 1 nurse, Princess, was exceptional in her care. The CNA, Kayla, was also good. Alex, the physical therapist did great in explaining his work with my husband. Judy in Activities was sweet. However there was the ignoring of my request to take my husband off Percocet when it was brought up in the care meeting which I found out a week later. Then there was the delay in getting the CPAP machine in time as no one responded quickly once the pulmonologist letter was given to the staff a week before the care meeting, and to get it working properly before he was discharged. There was the conflicting information given from the ladies in the business office regarding first a push to take my husband off the Medicare Advantage plan insurance and change to regular Medicare. The next day they could only boast about how great his Advantage plan was. If I went to the nurses' station at night to get a cup of ice, sometimes I had to wait until the staff standing there finished their conversations which did not seem to always be about the care needed by the patients.

Staff members in every department excel in their jobs and they sincerely care about their patients in the therapy department. [review] => My experience is that while the facility and much of the staff are really good and friendly the Family has to be very involved and advocate for their loved one. When the staff, from the director to the cafeteria staff and the laundry staff see you there regularly I feel they are much more attentive to your loved one's needs. The facility is clean and has a beautiful interior courtyard for the residents to be out in the fresh air. The Director of Activities and staff are superior in keeping the residents involved and socialized. The Social Work Director as well as the facility Director always have time for you if you have any questions or concerns. The Therapists are amazing how they work with and address each resident's needs plus I love how they greet the residents by name when they see them elsewhere in the facility.

[review] => I was a previous employee of this facility. Hands-down Ricky, the administrator, is one of the best I've ever worked with. It was a hard decision to leave the great team I worked with. Activities department was great, always doing something to engage the residents. If you have a loved one who needs a good rehab, I'd strongly recommend this facility. Social services department is excellent with discharge planning and ensuring all needs are met prior to discharge.

[review] => My mom was here a little over a month for rehab. The daytime staff was awesome!!! I love Dr. Maude, Christian, Jean and Gil are a few that stand out!!! Some of them really really care about their patients more than I have seen at other facilities. And my mom is a picky eater but really liked their food. She even gained a couple pounds from finally eating while she was there. They have activities for the patients. There were all kinds of games and trivia days, a day for manicures, an ice cream social and a BBQ while she was there. If she ever has to go back to a nursing home/rehab again, it would definitely be this one!!

[review] => Based on reviews, I was hesitant to send my husband here to recover from a broken back. I’m glad I followed through because the facility exceeded my expectations. Sue, the Admissions Director was really nice, Chris, the other director kept me informed as to his medical status. The nurses, CNAs, cleaning staff as well as dietary folks worked really hard to ensure my husband was taken care of. They have social activities for the guest staying there, folks out in the meticulously kept gardens. Doug has helped him with physical therapy to help him regain mobility.

[review] => My mother went to this nursing home 4-years ago.
-Understaff and Undertrained Staffing (they were always short staffed and may of the staff would quit after only a few weeks.
-No compassion (Rude and Nasty administration)
-Food is not nutritional (no fresh foods, very limited selection)
-Limited supplies (diapers, toilet paper, towels, wash clothes)
-Nurses kept on giving wrong medication, never a doctor on call.
-When my mother had to go to the hospital, it was always a fight with the nursing home not allowing her to go to a hospital.
-Administration lies about everything and constantly.
We just didn't leave our mother in the home, we were active and cared about her well being so when we did bring up these issues to the administration, nurses and other staff members, they didn't want to be bothered, all they cared about is getting paid. We tried many times to get her to another nursing home but it was very difficult because to find a female bed in the Orlando area that was close to family, it was impossible to find another location so we had to deal with Metro West.
My mother finally passed away. Since the covid outbreak we were not able to go into the facility to get her things. A staff members had to pack her belongings and they couldn't even do that right, they "misplaced" her red walker and when we told them we would like her walker back, they again gave us an attituded and told us she didn't have a walker...which we purchased prior to the covid outbreak and gave it to her so she can walk around better, it was a red walker and we never got it back and was treated like rudely by a women name Sue but everyone from this women name Paula to others in the administration side was very rude when you mentioned or got involved with our mothers care, for the past 4-years we were treated like trash and the staff wasn't bothered one bit. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I've heard many horror stories from other families about the same issues. Don't bring a loved one to this facility if you don't have too!

[review] => If you love your family, don't put them here! Between the food being TERRIBLE and the nurses being understaffed and having to work double shifts and being extremely tired. The front door is not accessible to anyone after 730 without a nurse coming to open the door and they do not give anyone the code. Patients hitting their buttons to call for someone and no one ever showing up or hours later. Hearing people screaming for help while walking down the hallway and no one bothers to check on them. Thieves on the staff that take the patients personal belongings and having to fight to get a paycheck for the items in which you will never see a dime. Only a few good nurses and the rest of the staff could care less. Go anywhere else but here!

[review] => My grandfather has been there for a little over a week now. He had a stroke and barely speaks English. There are tons of bilingual staff there to help. And in just 8 days we have already seen improvement. He has been in other rehab facilities in the past and none compare. Metro West has kept my family and I informed and updated on his care. The nursing staff is very attentive and truly care. I am very pleased with the facility.

[review] => The isn't always good, but it's always cold. They are under-staffed, it can take 2 hours for a CNA to answer a call light. The CNA's won't help each other. Since the Activities Director as fired they aren/t many ativities. One of the activities ladies is rude and not very nice, I think the power has gone to her head.. I would never reccomend this place.

[review] => Is there less than 1 star. The patient was not allowed to be escorted to restroom upon entry. Instructed to stay in bed o urinate and defecate on herself until physical therapy came in the morning 12 hours late. Is this a a healthcare provider.
The employees are rude, evasive and demeaning. Such deliberate behaviors of slothfulness among all. "The facility stinks like a sewer.
Run from this facility! Flee!
My loved one stayed 2 hours and was transported away by EMT with chest pain. Flee!

[review] => As a psychologist who has experience in a number of nursing facilities in Central Florida, this place isn't that bad and that gets them 5-stars. The physical therapy/occupational therapy staff (m-f 8-6p) is fantastic and really help patients recover quickly, while also keeping them safe. The food looks good enough to eat (which is saying something for "hospital food") and the facility is kept up nicely. Residents can garden and eat the fruits of their labor. As for the complaints posted, evening and weekend skeleton crews are the new normal in skilled nursing. This facility is more responsive to call lights than any other facility I've worked. This is one of the few places that I would refer friends/family to for skilled nursing care.

[review] => The entire staff is terrible, from the nurses down to the janitorial staff. Nobody was downright rude but the the way they treat their patients is unacceptable. They neglect the patients and only work when family comes around. The place stinks and is infested with bugs in both the rooms and the public bathroom in the front area. So many things have gone wrong in the past week since my loved one has been there and it hasn't even really been a full week. This is definitely not a place you would want to send someone that you care about. If there was less than a one-star they definitely receive that. The lack of urgency and attentiveness to rehab patients is unacceptable. The communication between the facility and third-party transportation companies is hazardous my love one was left in a wheelchair on the curb. We came to visit and found him there. After we express our anger and how we wanted to bring him home they threatened to call DCF on us when in all actuality we need to call DCF on them this is poor treatment and no human let alone the elderly should be treated this way.

[review] => The one thing I can say is the only people who care here and that are nice are the ones that give the patients their food. The nurses and doctors tried to convince me and my family that my mom was ok and that she did t need medical attention and when I didn’t listen to them and took my mom to the ER she ended up in icu because of their negligence. I will never let anyone I know stay in this facility They really don’t know what they are doing and they just don’t care about anyone’s well being. Most of these people who work there are rude and they seem like they don’t know the minor details in someone’s health or they just don’t care
